He's not played in the NHL since October 15.
The Detroit Red Wings have won three straight games, with their most recent win coming in the form of a 6-1 dominating victory over the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena. They're back at it tonight against the Edmonton Oilers, and had announced a key roster move ahead of tonight's game.
Forward Jakub Vrana was officially recalled from the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins, where he has been playing since being reinstated by the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. The move corresponded with forward Lucas Raymond being placed on Injured Reserve retroactive to February 10.
However, Vrana will not be playing tonight against Edmonton, according to head coach Derek Lalonde.
The Red Wings take on the Oilers tonight starting at 9:30 PM EST.
