Red Wings F Vladislav Namestnikov shows Connor McDavid how it's done!
The Russian forward went coast to coast against the Oilers!
Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid may be scoring at another ridiculous pace this season, but Detroit Red Wings forward Vladislav Namestnikov took a page out of his book tonight at Little Caesars Arena.
The Russian forward put his team on the board first tonight, converting on a beautiful end-to-end rush that saw him walk around defenseman Tyson Barrie and beat goaltender Stuart Skinner:
It wouldn't be long before Namestnikov would pot his second goal of the night, banging home a rebound to give his team a two-goal cushion early in the second period:
The Red Wings have done a terrific job so far on the evening of getting in the faces of both McDavid and fellow star Leon Draisaitl, holding the Oilers without a goal in the first period for the first time all season.
