Red Wings get bad news regarding captain Dylan Larkin

Well, that's two top players who won't play tonight.

The Detroit Red Wings will be looking to exact some revenge tonight when they visit Bell Centre in Montreal for the second time in just over a week and a half; the first matchup against the Canadiens didn't go so well for the Winged Wheel.

A 6-1 setback last Saturday night was Montreal's first victory of the season after having started the 2021-22 campaign with five straight setbacks. Naturally, a bit disappointing for the Red Wings. However, they'll have another shot at them later this evening.

However, they'll be without two key pieces of their team.

Already without forward Tyler Bertuzzi thanks to his anti-vaccination stance, the team announced this morning that captain Dylan Larkin will not be playing due to "personal reasons".

Larkin didn't skate during yesterday's practice, and so far, there's no indication as to what personal issues that Larkin could be going through right now.

Regardless, we wish him the best and hope to see him back on the ice soon.
