The bad luck continues.
The good news is that the Detroit Red Wings were able to rebound from falling behind to their Atlantic Division rival Buffalo Sabres by a 4-1 score, rallying with three goals in the third period to eventually earn a point in what would be a 5-4 shootout setback.
However, the bad news is that forward Tyler Bertuzzi, who had just returned from a broken hand suffered from blocking a shot, was forced from last night's game after once again blocking a shot. Though he was seen back on the bench during overtime, he didn't hit the ice.
This time, it was friendly fire, as he was struck by a shot attempt from teammate Ben Chiarot. And according to head coach Derek Lalonde, Bertuzzi wasn't able to give it a go for the rest of the night.
"I wanted to use him in overtime but he couldn’t go," coach Derek Lalonde said. "We'll know more after."
It's taken the gritty forward a bit to get his sea legs since his return, having tallied only one goal along with three assists.
