Red Wings' Moritz Seider wins 2022 Calder Trophy

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider has proven himself not only worthy of being a top-10 draft pick in the National Hockey League, but  firmly etched himself into the Calder Trophy discussion as the League's top rookie. He was rewarded for his efforts by in fact being named a Calder Finalist, along with 26 year old Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Michael Bunting and Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras. 

And the final vote wasn't even close. Seider won 170 of the 195 total first place votes, becoming Detroit's 1st Calder Trophy winner since Roger Crozier in 1965.
