The deal is in the books.
The Detroit Red Wings have announced a trade, though it's nothing earth shattering.
Two minor league players have been swapped for one another, as Detroit has sent Kyle Criscuolo to the San Jose Sharks for forward Jasper Weatherby.
Criscuolo has spent the bulk of his career playing in the American Hockey League, having played in 114 contests for the Red Wings affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins in the past three years. He's skated in a total of 15 NHL games, registering two assists.
Meanwhile, Weatherby is a 2018 NHL Draft selection of San Jose; he's appeared in 50 career NHL games, having scored five goals with six assists.
