Red Wings place forward on waivers after season-ending loss
One move of note from GM Steve Yzerman.
HockeyFeed
While the Detroit Red Wings continue to deal with the disappointment of falling just short of ending their Stanley Cup Playoffs drought, general manager Steve Yzerman has announced a roster move.
Forward Austin Czarnik has been placed on waivers; however, the move is merely a formality so that he can re-join the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins.
Czarnik played in a total of 34 games with the Red Wings this season, registering a single assist.
