Red Wings’ plane in trouble on top of last night’s loss

When does the bad luck end?

The Detroit Red Wings’ losing streak hit 12 games last night when they managed to get defeated once again, this time at the hands of the Jets in Winnipeg.

However, the bad luck did not just take place as the Wings lost 5-1: it extended to outside the rink when they wanted to get back home and digest the loss.

As reported by team insider Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press, the team’s plane was unable to take off last night and the Wings had to stay overnight in Winnipeg.

According to head coach Jeff Blashill, it was a mechanical issue that prevented the plane from taking off.

We are all starring to wonder when the bad luck (and bad karma) will let go of the Wings, who are 7-22-3, and their goal differential is minus-62.

The team returns home to Little Caesars Arena on Thursday tarnished by a 12-game losing streak.

At least, they will do so safely - in a plane that works properly. Fans are hoping the team can get fixed too…
