Red Wings reveal new lineup for massive game vs. Penguins
Detroit is shorthanded for tonight's critical matchup.

Tuesday night's Detroit Red Wings game at Little Caesars Arena against the Washington Capitals was listed as the biggest game for the franchise in years. Unfortunately, things didn't go according to plan, as goaltender Charlie Lindgren did his best Jean-Sebastien Giguere circa 20023 impression, helping the Capitals to a massive 2-1 victory in regulation.
Tonight, the Red Wings have the opportunity to get right back into things with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who were essentially left for dead at this time last month but have instead roared back to become one of a handful of teams along with Detroit and Washington competing for the final Wild Card postseason spot.
Detroit is already shorthanded, as forward Michael Rasmussen has missed the last several games due to an upper body injury. And now, the Red Wings will be without Andrew Copp, as he suffered a broken cheekbone after being high sticked on Tuesday in a controversial play that somehow went undetected by the on-ice officials.
Meanwhile, they're also still without defenseman Jake Walman.
They've called up Zach-Aston Reese from the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins, and he'll be in the lineup tonight at PPG Paints Arena. Based on yesterday's practice line combinations, here is how they'll be skating tonight in Pittsburgh:
