The Detroit Red Wings have made a large round of cuts on Saturday, trimming their training camp roster down by 14 players.

In the official announcement the Red Wings have revealed that a total of 4 players were released from professional tryout offers, although they won't all meet the same fate.

25 year old forward Isaac Ratcliffe has simply been released from his professional tryout offer, and he will now have to look elsewhere if he wants to play professional hockey this season.

Additionally both forwards Hunter Johannes and Dominik Shine as well as defenseman Josiah Didier were all released from professional tryout offers as well, although all 3 of those young men will be headed to Grand Rapids where they will join the Red Wings American Hockey League affiliate.

Joining them on the Griffins will be another group of 3 players who were cut from the training camp roster today and they are forwards Alexandre Doucet, Amadeus Lombardi and Jakub Rychlovsky.

The Red Wings have also assigned goaltender Gage Alexander to the ECHL where he will join the Toledo Walleye.

3 additional players were officially moved off the main roster today with both forward Tim Gettinger and defenseman Shai Buium designated as injured/non-roster players, while forward Ondrej Becher, who is also injured, will be rehabbing in the American Hockey League.
