Red Wings trade Jake Walman

The Detroit Red Wings have traded defenseman Jake Walman and a 2nd round pick to the San Jose Sharks for... nothing.

Literally nothing.

Officially the Red Wings get 'Future Considerations' but this looks to be entirely just a cap dump for the Red Wings who have shed themselves of Walman's $3.4 million annual contract for the next two seasons.

We'll reserve judgement on this deal to see what GM Steve Yzerman does next... it's clear he's cooking up something. Stay tuned.
