The Detroit Red Wings are moving forward Oskar Sundqvist to the Minnesota Wild in the last hour of the trade deadline. Detroit receives a 2023 fourth round draft pick in the deal.
Once the deadline has passed, the Wild confirmed the transaction:
The 27-year-old center has seven goals and 14 assists in 52 games this season. He is in the final year of a four-year, $11 million deal signed with the St. Louis Blues ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Sundqvist was traded last season to Detroit by the St. Louis Blues.
In 340 games played across eight seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Blues and Red Wings, Sundqvist has 47 goals and 116 points.
