Red Wings unveil their brand new centennial jersey on Monday.
The Detroit Red Wings have a new look!
On Monday morning, the Red Wings officially unveiled their brand new centennial jerseys for the upcoming 2025-26 National Hockey League season. The announcement was made in the form of a video that gave their fans their first chance to see the new jerseys, with several of the Red Wings top players showing off the new look.
Featured front and center was captain Dylan Larkin who also sported a unique looking patch for the "C" on his jersey that signifies his role as team captain, but also featured in the video were forwards Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane... as well as two additional surprises that I won't spoil for you.
You can check out the video just below:
Of course there is a lot going on in the video and things are moving pretty quickly as we go from one jump cut to another, and thankfully images of the new jerseys are already being circulated on social media. If seeing a still photo is more of your thing I've got you covered, you can check out several still shots of the new jersey just below:
The reception to the new look so far seems to have been rather positive, with the only complaints I've seen so far being from fans who are lamenting what is about to happen to their bank accounts.
Do you like the new look? Let me know what you think of today's announcement in the comments.
