Referee cusses off Haydn Fleury for disagreeing with him in penalty box

This took place on Monday night, but it didn’t get enough attention. You have to see this. As Seattle Kraken’s Haydn Fleury was sent to the penalty box for tripping Buffalo Sabres’ Dylan Cozens in the first period, he mouthed off to the referee who was hearing none of it.

As referee Chris Rooney made the call, Fleury told him it was a bad one and the official was not happy with his comment.

Rooney spoke at centre ice and then told Fleury to fuck off.

Plain and simple, but somewhat surprising out of a month of an official. Check this out:

The Kraken went on to win 7-4 over the Sabres, and so we imagine Fleury got away with his penalty, however, Rooney stated trending and we just want it to keep going.
