Referee gets physical with young player and ends up flat on his a**!

There was a highly controversial incident at a high school hockey game in Buffalo, New York.

A young player came under fire after a push or punch to a referee sent that referee crashing down to the ice, but in defense of that player the video may in fact show that the referee was the first to cross a line.

If you watch closely prior to the young man turning around and getting physical with the official, it appears that the official shoves him hard from behind, face first into the boards. While we certainly don't condone the young man's decision to attack an official, it's certainly understandable if he felt he was being assaulted in the first place.
