Referee goes viral after he's caught chirping a player on the hot mic

NHL referee Kyle Rehman has gone viral this evening, not for a bad call on the ice, but for outwardly chirping New York Islanders forward Kyle Palmieri for all to hear.

Rehman had called Palmieri for a two minute minor and, clearly, Palmieri didn't agree with the call. While being escorted to the penalty box both Rehman and Palmieri argued over the worthiness of the call and that's when Rehman snapped at him, "Pick. You want a slash or a crosscheck?" This all happened over Rehman's microphone for everyone in the arena to hear.

Honestly, I love this. Anyone who's every played hockey knows that the refs don't take too kindly to these types of arguments. Personally, I never understood arguing with the refs... it's not like you're going to convince them to change their mind. What's done is done, what's called is called. Sit down and do your time.
