Referees caught accepting bribes during an NHL game.
A hilarious scene played out in the crowd during a clash between the Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins.
A hilarious scene played out in the crowd during a game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators this past Saturday, a good natured prank that had everyone in the building howling with laughter.
As the real National Hockey League officials were reviewing an offside on the ice, a pair of fraudulent NHL officials in the crowd were giving a ruling of their own. The ruling from the fake referees however was a little less than honest with the head referee soliciting bribes from fans of both teams.
A Penguins fan in a Sidney Crosby jersey was the first to break out his wallet and offer some money to get the call to go his way, and sure enough the fake referee accepted the cash bribe and quickly issued his ruling.
The whole thing was made that much better thanks to the classic theme from the "Goldeneye 007" video game playing in the background during the hilarious exchange.
