As the Toronto Maple Leafs stumble down the final stretch of what has been a miserable season, there is at least some good news going into tonight's game in Ottawa. On Saturday, the Maple Leafs will celebrate a positive milestone with defenseman Eric Brewer scheduled to play his 1,000th game in the NHL. The 35-year-old, who was selected with the fifth overall pick by the New York Islanders in 1997, is with his sixth franchise, earning 267 points along the way. The team travels to Ottawa Saturday to attempt to play spoiler to the playoff hopes of the Hamburglar, Andrew Hammond, and the scorching hot Senators. Congratulations to Brewer!
