Watching the Rangers fall to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final wasn't easy for any of us fans to stomach.
However, some people took it a little harder than others.
The Rangers held their end-of-year press conference Monday, three days after being eliminated by the Lightning. Vigneault told reporters that, following the game, he couldn't stop his youngest daughter from crying.
Despite expressing that the loss was devastating, Vigneault did remain optimistic, suggesting the team had minimal expectations for the season.
"When we came into season, no one knew what to expect," Vigneault told reporters. "We ended up one period away from going back to the final."
We understand the feeling.
