Report: Another Blackhawks prospect heading back to Europe
He could sign with the Blackhawks next season
HockeyFeed
Scott Powers from the Athletic is reporting that Chicago Blackhawks prospect John Dahlstrom will be playing in his home country of Sweden next year.
There were talks to have Dahlstrom play in the USHL with the Chicago Steel, but those plans have fallen through. Like Maxim Shalunov, another Blackhawks prospect will return to Europe before signing with the club. Dahlstrom played for Medicine Hat in the WHL last season putting up close to a point per game and has now signed with Almtuna IS in Sweden. Dahlstrom is part of a decent crop of Blackhawks forward prospects including Shalunov and Alex Debrincat.
