Injuries starting to taker a toll.
There's no doubt that injuries are taking their toll on the Montreal Canadiens.
Montreal has lost arguably their best player in Carey Price as well as Brendan Gallagher, Alexei Emelin and Torrey Mitchell, and that was just the month of November. With that in mind it's no surprise that the Canadiens have lost two straight and as a result have lost the league's lead in points to the Dallas Stars.
Now it appears that things will get worse before they get better, with the Habs announcing the loss of forward Devante Smith-Pelly, who sat out the game on Saturday with the injury. After being reviewed by team medical staff Pelly was placed on injured reserve.
No word on the severity of the injury to Pelly just yet.
