The Vancouver Canucks are bringing up one of their young guns.
In an official press release published on the team's official website on Thursday, the Canucks announced that they were calling up defenseman Jordan Subban from the American Hockey League's Utica Comets.
There will be increased scrutiny on Jordan due to his family connections in the National Hockey League with brother and goaltender Malcolm Subban of the Boston Bruins as well as with his most famous brother P.K. Subban of the Nashville Predators, also a defenseman.
Subban has been Utica's best offensive defenseman this season with 9 goals and 13 assists in 34 games played.
