For the third consecutive game, the Boston Bruins will be without their star forward Patrice Bergeron.

Answering questions after Tuesday's practice, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy explained that Bergeron will not play in Wednesday's matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, adding that both Bergeron could make a potential return as he is "aiming for the weekend."

Bergeron, who did not skate during Tuesday's practice, has been dealing with a lower-body injury for the past few weeks -- missing both of Boston's first two games of the 2017-18 season.
