The Chicago Blackhawks will have to wait a little longer to see one of their top prospects in action. Scott Powers from the Athletic is reporting that the team will still monitor Maxim Shalunov despite the fact that he has signed a three year extension in the KHL.
The 24 year old Russian sniper had 38 points in 49 games last season in the KHL with Sibir Novosibirsk and has just signed with CSKA Moscow.
