Guy Boucher has decided on a pretty interesting roster move for tonight's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Chris Wideman was spotted playing on the wing instead of his usual position on the blue line on Wednesday morning.

The head coach confirmed that Wideman will slot in as a forward tonight, having this to say about the defenseman-turned-forward.

"You don't just want bodies in your line-up, you want able bodies," said Boucher. "That's what Wideman gave us last game and it really surprised me how good he was."

He played his first game up front last weekend and was surprisingly effective. Considering his defensive game, he will likely be tried on the penalty kill as a forward in Zack Smith's place.

He hasn't played forward since he was 12, and while nothing is set in stone, it will be interesting to see if he makes the switch full time.
