Report : Bruins about to lock deal with major piece.

The off-season is the perfect time to negotiate contracts with some of the most important players in the roster. Some UFAs decide to move where the grass seems greener, but other younger players are locked in RFA deals and have to negotiate with their current team hard and find a solution.

The Bruins' fans new about David Pastrnak and how good he might become, but last season was a true breakthrough for the youngster. He scored an amazing 70 points in 75 games and quickly established himself as one of the fans favorite. Needless to say, GM Sweeney and the whole upper management have to find a way to keep him.

According to a report by CSN NE, it seems the negotiations are going well and a deal could happen very soon.

“Just had some talks this week with [Pastrnak’s] group and hopefully that will lead to a resolution at some point in time, in the near future, but we have no timeline,” said Sweeney.

According to reports, the magic number could be somewhere along the Marchand's deal at roughly 50M$ for 8 years, so about 6M$ a year. The McDavid deal exploded the bank and it might be a valid negotiation argument for Pastrnak's camp.

We'll be following the whole thing closely!
