It appears the David Pastrnak experiment has been put on hold by the Boston Bruins, at least for the moment. The 18 year old Czech forward (and brightest Bruins hopeful) has been sent down to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. What prompted this decision is just speculation, but one would have to assume this is the Bruins way of allowing Pastrnak the chance to represent the Czech Republic in the World Junior Hockey Championships. Preparation for the tournament begins on Dec.13. Pastrnak showed flashes of brilliant play in the 5 games he played with the Bruins, recording one assist in that span. He was a healthy scratch in the Bruins 5-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. Pastrnak has 18 points in 17 games with Providence thus far.
