Report: Brutal losing streak for the Kings has tied an ugly 50 year old record.

Not the kind of record you want to have.

The Los Angeles Kings have tied their own record, and it's not something they should be proud of.

Prior to the Kings match up on Tuesday night against their division rival the Anaheim Ducks, Kings insider Jon Rosen revealed that another shut out lost would cause the team to tie a 50 year old record, a record for the worst three game stretch in King's history, all of them shutouts.

Well the Kings failed to score against the Ducks, and were dominated in a 4-0 loss, as a result they have tied the worst three game stretch in the history of their franchise and now have a chance to break that record should their stretch of poor play continue.

It's been an extremely ugly stretch of hockey for the Kings, one that doesn't seem to have an obvious solution, and with goaltender Jonathan Quick still out for the long-term this could get a lot uglier before it gets better.
