Report: Canadiens could ditch a goaltender
The Habs may not be done dealing yet.

The Montreal Canadiens have already acquired a goaltender this offseason, bringing in former Pittsburgh Penguins net minder Casey DeSmith as part of the 3-team trade that was completed earlier this month that saw reigning Norris Trophy winning defenseman Erik Karlsson sent to the Penguins from the San Jose Sharks.
But with veteran Jake Allen and Sam Montembeault already on the roster, the Habs now have themselves a bit of a logjam at the position. Could one of the aforementioned names be a candidate to be moved before too long? According to Habs reporter Anthony Martineau, it sounds like it's an option on the table for general manager Kent Hughes.
Per his report:
"Montréal semble "ouvert aux affaires" dans le dossier de ses gardiens de but, vient-on également de me dire. Le club n’aurait toujours pas tranché, écouterait attentivement et donnerait l’impression de chercher l’avenue la plus payante pour lui."
The French to English translation:
"Montreal seems "open for business" in the file of its goalkeepers, I have also just been told. The club would still not have decided, would listen carefully and give the impression of looking for the most profitable avenue for him."
