The Canucks' bench boss just won't commit to his team.

Relax, Canucks fans... I'm not talking about Rick Tocchet.

I'm talking about AHL Abbotsford Canucks bench boss Jeremy Colliton, formerly of the Chicago Blackhawks. According to a report from Sportsnet Canucks host Dan Murphy, the Canucks offered Colliton a two year extension to remain head coach of the AHL Canucks but Colliton has elected to turn down the offer.

From Murphy:

Colliton has performed admirably as the AHL Canucks' head coach the past two seasons and has helped the organization develop the likes of Nils Hoglander, Vasili Podkolzin, Arshdeep Bains, Aatu Raty and Linus Karlsson. Still, you have to imagine that the 39 year old Colliton is holding out hope for another NHL job in the near future. With Tocchet fully entrenched in Vancouver, Colliton is unlikely to get a head coaching job in Vancouver anytime soon. It'll be interesting to see how the offseason shakes out for the young head coach and whether or not he receives any big-league interest in the offseason. Stay tuned.

This just in from TSN insider Ryan Rishaug, the Edmonton Oilers appear to have chosen Clavin Pickard as their starting goaltender for Game 5 tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.

From Rishaug:

Pickard, of course, replaced Stuart Skinner as the team's starting goalie for Game 4 and earned a much needed victory. It appears that coach Kris Knoblauch is running with the 'win and you're in' strategy, which is probably a smart play.
