Report: Canucks have met with 23-year-old free agent center.

The Vancouver Canucks may soon be bringing in a hometown boy.

A report from Rick Dhaliwal‏ college hockey center Alex Kerfoot met with senior members of the Vancouver Canucks management team, most notably general manager Jim Benning and team president Trevor Linden.

According to Dhaliwal the agent for Kerfoot, J.P Barry, has informed him that the meetings were very productive although it has to be stated that no deal has been signed as of yet.

Kerfoot was born in West Vancouver, British Columbia but has spent the last four seasons of his hockey career playing for Harvard University.

Vancouver seems like a natural fit for the 23-year-old center but only time will tell if he does indeed opt to sign with the team.
