Report: Canucks shut down forward for the rest of the season.

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that one of their forwards will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

The team has officially announced that the ankle injury that has been nagging Brandon Prust, is serious enough that Prust will use the additional time to recover from his injury. While the Canucks made the official announcement, according to the team the decision was a mutual one between both Prust and the organization.

Prust will return to his hometown and began rehabbing the injury in the hopes of being at 100% when next season rolls around, although the Canucks have indicated that their medical staff will continue to oversee the process from afar.
