There comes a point where riding the hot glove is trumped by maximizing a player's potential and rebuilding their confidence.

That time has come for the Boston Bruins - with head coach Bruce Cassidy giving the nod to Tuukka Rask in the starter's goal for Sunday's tilt against the Edmonton Oilers

Anton Khudobin has been red hot this year. His 7-0-2 record speaks for itself, and his 2.22 GAA / 0.932 save percentage are among the league's best.

Rask, on the other hand, sports a 3-7-2 record and analysts are calling for him to be traded, stating that he won't bring this team a Stanley Cup. Be it as it may, Tuukka Rask has been one of the top goalies in the NHL for several years and has it in him to be a difference-maker on this club.

Boston will stand to benefit from him rebounding and providing a dynamic 1-2 punch with Khudobin.

In other news, Cassidy updated the health status of several of his injured players.
