Report: Cole making “significant progress”

It's hard to forget the injury that the Pittsburgh Penguins' defenseman Ian Cole suffered recently.

The image just never gets out of your head.

Gross, we know.

But there is some good news - after losing some teeth and part of his jaw (yes, you read that right) and being placed on the team's injured reserve, Cole skated today on his own.

And he's looking good.

There's still no timetable on his return, but it appears he could be back sooner than expected, which is great news for the team's penalty kill.
