The Arizona Coyotes are attempting to make a very bold move, but by the sounds of it they may not end up getting what they want.

According to multiple reports the Coyotes, who just recently fired their former general manager Don Maloney, have already decided who they want to target as their next general manager, there's just one problem, he's already a high ranking member of the Toronto Maple Leafs front office.

Word is the Coyotes want Leafs assistant general manager Kyle Dubas, who is widely regarded as one of the best analytical minds in all of hockey, and who many believe is the heir apparent to current Maple Leafs GM Lou Lamorrielo, although Mark Hunter has also been rumored to be Lamorrielo's successor.

Unfortunately for Arizona, it sounds like the interest is a one way street, and Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman is now reporting that Dubas will remain in Toronto and has no interest in taking over as GM for the Coyotes. It shouldn't come as a shock after all, if Dubas really is in line to become GM of one of the games richest teams, why would he chose to leave for the Coyotes, who have been extremely unstable in recent years.
