The Detroit Red Wings have been without one of their top young defensemen in Danny DeKeyser since October 10th after suffering a serious ankle injury.
It was reported on Thursday evening that his return was imminent, but might still be about a week away.
The news got better today when Jeff Blashill spoke to the media.
By all appearances, DeKeyser will indeed be ready to go on Sunday after only playing the team's first 3 games of the season.
Detroit is 7-7-2 in his absence, and 9-8-2 overall.
They take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight at 7:30 pm.
