Report: Duchene is getting frustrated!
Keystone Press

National Hockey League fans are wondering more and more if forward Matt Duchene will show up at the Colorado Avalanche training camp amidst all the trade speculations.

On Thursday, Avalanche insider Adrian Dater who reached out to agent Pat Brisson, to ask if point blank Duchene would report to camp under his current circumstances.

“If there is no trade of (Duchene) by the start of camp, is it his intention to report to camp on time,” asked Dater.

“I don’t have much to say at this point,” was Brisson’s reply.

Following the exchange, it is now believed that Duchene may not show up for camp in Colorado and, according to Hockey Buzz, "if that does indeed happen it will speak volumes for how this situation has turned."

Duchene is said to be very upset with the situation as general manager Joe Sakic is still waiting for better offers, although the 26-year-old and his agent consider them to be "more than fair offers from teams who want Matt."

The forward did not have his best season last year, which makes Sakic's steep demands almost impossible to fulfill. If Duchene refuses to show up at camp, the teams who are interested might lower their offers...

Sakic and Avalanche management should get worried...
