Report: Evander Kane linked to Bruins in trade rumors

The 25 year old forward has put up just three goals and six points in 17 games with the Bruins so far this season. The Edmonton, Alberta native has struggled the past few seasons after putting up a stellar 27 goals and 42 points in 68 games during his career best 2018-19 season.

So, with DeBrusk officially on the market where will he end up and what can the Bruins expect to get in return? 

Personally, I don't think he'll fetch more than a mid to high draft pick, obviously not a 1st round pick though, on the trade market but Bruins reporter Ty Anderson seems to feel like the team could actually parlay DeBrusk into a bigger move. In a bit of a far fetched piece for Boston's 98.5 The Sports Hub, Anderson links the Bruins to players like Brock Boeser, Max Domi, Tomas Hertl and even Evander Kane in exchange for DeBrusk.

Now... if you think you're getting a legit impact player like Boeser or Hertl in exchange for DeBrusk, then I would like to have some of whatever you're smoking. But Domi and Kane, well... those are some players with some baggage that their teams would likely be happy to offload. Kane, in particular, obviously could be had on the cheap.

On paper a DeBrusk for Kane swap absolutely makes sense, but in reality there's no way the Bruins would ever want a guy with Kane's baggage around their team. This is one rumor that I honestly can't see becoming reality. Thoughts, B's fans?
