What's the verdict on GM Craig Conroy, Flames fans?

There's been plenty of chatter surrounding Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson early in this offseason and the chatter is unlikely to die down as we draw closer to the season.

In fact, with Andersson entering the final year of his contract in 2025-26, Flames fans will likely be hearing rumors concerning the Swedish blueliner all season long... at least until he's finally dealt.

Here's the thing though... according to a report from TSN insider Darren Dreger, the Flames have already received a ton of offers on Andersson but GM Craig Conroy has been unwilling to budge. Dreger even reports that the Los Angeles Kings made an offer for Andersson that would "blow your socks off."

From Dreger:

Interesting...

With the Kings signing both Cody Ceci and Brian Dumoulin to contracts on July 1st though, you have to imagine that Andersson is out of Kings GM Ken Holland's plans. I'd absolutely LOVE to see what the offer was though, as the Flames could benefit from some of the Kings' draft capital.

Incidentally, it appears that Conroy also lost out on defenseman K'Andre Miller as he was heavily involved in trade negotiations with the blue liner before the New York Rangers shipped him to the Carolina Hurricanes in a package deal that included a 1st round pick.

Dreger reports that Conroy and the Flames were "definitely interested" in Miller but that the deal couldn't get done.

"The Flames were definitely interested in K'Andre Miller. Going into July 1st I thought he was going to join the Flames, then obviously it went in a different direction," said Dreger on Flames Nation's podcast Barn Burner today.

So... is that strike two against Conroy this offseason?
