Flames may lose one of their young forwards.

The Calgary Flames may be on the verge of losing one of their young forwards to an offer from a rival league.

While there has not yet been an official announcement, there are now multiple sources reporting that 25-year-old forward Linden Vey is expected to accept an offer from the Kontinental Hockey League.

Surprisingly, the offer is believed to be coming from Barys Astana, a team that has hosted multiple former Flames players in the past, and one has to wonder if there may be some kind of connection here.

Vey gained widespread notoriety in the National Hockey League when his father was convicted in a murder plot to kill Vey's mother, and it seems likely that this may be a way for him to escape those headlines.

Once again nothing official has been reported on this matter as of yet.
