UFA Matt Beleskey has solicited interest from a dozen clubs. Agent Murray Kuntz says Beleskey will visit a few Eastern Conf clubs this week — Pierre LeBrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun) June 29, 2015
Beleskey could very well end up being this year's David Clarkson, who signed a huge contract in Toronto after a good season in a half in New Jersey were he scored 30 goals in 2011-2012 and 15 in the lock-out shortened season. Clarkson then sat on his money with Toronto and never reached the 20-goal mark again.
Beleskey's case is even worst. The former Ducks forward had a good, but not exceptional season with Anaheim last year, scoring 22 goals, which accounts for almost 40% of his career production in six seasons in the league.
Don't be surprise if Beleskey's new team ends up with buyer's remorse early into his contract.
