Report: Former first round draft pick is expecting a trade.

Sometimes trades catch players completely off guard, but that won't be the case this time.

Ottawa Senators forward Curtis Lazar spoke to the media on Wednesday and stated that he wouldn't be caught by surprise because he was expecting a trade, and given the sheer numbers of rumors he has been connected to in the past two weeks it's easy to see why.

The 22-year-old center is a former first round draft pick of the Ottawa Senators, and has spent his entire career with that organization thus far, but some believe that Lazar could benefit from a change of scenery.

It's unclear what teams are currently in talks with Ottawa to acquire the young center.
