The Winnipeg Jets have lost one of their forwards to a long-term injury.

A report from the Winnipeg Sun's Ken Wiebe has reveaked that Winnipeg Jet's forward Marko Dano will miss significant time after he crashed awkwardly into the boards on Thursday night.

It was clear from the moment he hit the boards feet first that something was wrong, with Dano writhing in pain on the ice, and when he needed the help of teammates just to make it off the ice many feared the worst.

Head coach Paul Maurice has since confirmed that the injury is a bad one.

"It's not good. We're talking about weeks, easy," said Maurice.
