A former National Hockey League enforcer made some comments on social media that have sparked quite the uproar.
Following France's defeat to Portugal at the recent UEFA Euro Final, the always outspoken Georges Laraque took to Facebook to express exactly how he felt about his team losing in an upset.
I cannot believe that my team France lost in the Euro 2016 final against Portugal without Ronaldo, worst upset in the history, I would never do that but I feel like hanging myself...
When you consider the league's history with former enforcers and suicide it should come as no surprise that these comments from Laraque caused both outrage as well as concern regarding his mental state at the time of making the comment.
Laraque has since defended the comment effectively implying that he meant it as a joke.
