He was one half of what was widely regarded as the very worst goaltending tandem in the entire National Hockey League last season, but there's still someone out there willing to give him another shot. According to a report out of Russia, the KHL's CSKA Moscow has announced the signing of former Oilers' goalie Viktor Fasth, a report that has since been confirmed by Igor Eronko of Sport-Express. Ironically the CSKA Moscow website opted to post a picture of Fasth as a member of the Anaheim Ducks, choosing to ignore his latest season in Edmonton, a season so bad it prompted the Oilers to fire goaltending coach Frederic Chabot in early November. We wish Fasth the best of luck in the KHL, after all he was hardly the only player responsible for his poor performance last season.
