Report: Forward Group Modified

In an attempt to shake up his Detroit Red Wings team, head coach Jeff Blashill is shuffling his forward lines ahead of their matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow night.

 

Scoring was somewhat of an issue during the Red Wings’ two consecutive losses, as they managed only two goals against the Florida Panthers that beat them by a score of 5-2. They were shutout the previous game by the Boston Bruins, who scored only once in order to secure the win.

 

With that in mind, Blashill is mixing things up to get his troops going. With the hopes of creating more offense from his forwards, he has decided to place captain Henrik Zetterberg alongside Tomas Tatar and Justin Abdelkader while Andreas Athansiou will be centered by Darren Helm with Riley Sheahan on their right.
