According to a report from NHL insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Edmonton Oilers are considering adding unrestricted free agent Ben Hutton, but there are "several teams in the mix."
Check it out:
The 27 year old defenceman played 65 games with the Los Angeles Kings last season, putting up four goals and 16 points. He has never quite lived up to the impressive rookie season he had back in 2015-16 with the Vancouver Canucks when he put up 25 points as a 23 year old. While the Oilers do need some help on the backend with news that Oskar Klefbom will be out for the entire season, I'm not sure Hutton is the best solution.
