The Arizona Coyotes's terrible season came ended on a high note, as they were awarded a high draft pick for their mediocrity. After the team boasted the second-worst record in the NHL last season, Arizona was awarded the third overall pick in the upcoming draft. General manager Don Maloney held a press conference Tuesday and made an interesting revelation. He says the Coyotes could part with the pick, should the compensation be worthwhile, and that three teams have already called to see if a deal can be made. Maloney's exact words were, "We're open for business." The GM added that it would take a "first-born" to wrestle the pick from him, suggesting that though the pick is available, it will come with a hefty price tag. According to NHL.com, the third ranked prospect in the draft is American born defenseman Noah Hanifin, but that could easily change depending on wehat ends up happening at the draft.
