Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau had some good news about Jared Spurgeon today! The 28-year old defenseman, sidelined with a groin injury for the last two weeks, is expected to resume skating this week and could be back in the lineup at the end of the week!
Prior to his injury, Spurgeon has registered 15 points in 23 games played. In 471 games played in the NHL with the Wild, the New York Islanders 156th overall pick in 2008 produced 183 points. He added 16 points in 39 playoff games.
