Report: Good news for Justin Abdelkader!

Detroit Red Wings Justin Abdelkader is expected to return to the lineup against the Calgary Flames. Abdelkader missed the Wings last game after he suffered a fractured cheekbone. Detroit head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed the news on Monday.

Abdelkader, 30, was drafted 42nd overall by Detroit in 2005. He had nine points in 17 games played this season. In 561 games played in the NHL, the Muskegon, Michigan native registered 204 points. 

He added 13 points in 64 playoff games.

The Detroit Red Wings will face the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night.
